The Woven Rocking Chair was designed to minimize cost and material usage. It is constructed using two materials and two wooden shapes, without the use of glue or fasteners. Two chairs can be cut from a standard 4’x8’ sheet of plywood. Cotton webbing tightens the chair together, and the weaving pattern is inspired by shoelaces.
